Action Valentino Rossi in Mugello Italy, The Ducati Team, Takes First victory for tiem?

This weekend the Ducati and Rossi were tested to offer the best results in his cage at the Mugello race.

However, during the last two seasons of domination Rossi at Mugello taken away. This year, Rossi was undergoing his first season with Ducati, the Italian team which is the country of origin Rossi, the race results have not been very satisfactory. With the benchmark results of the finish, the best performance with Ducati Rossi is third place finish at Le Mans in the last four series.

This weekend the Ducati and Rossi will face the Italian MotoGP at Mugello. Rossi also continued to maintain at least the optimism following the promising results of The Doctor with joint Gp11.1yang been diving debut at Assen, where he finished in fourth position.

Will Rossi go back to the highest podium in Italy, as well as recorded his first victory with Ducati this season?

Introduction:
Located 30km north-east of Florence in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany, Mugello is a modern circuit with excellent facilities. Bought by Ferrari back in 1988, the 5.245km track has been renovated to a high standard and has a growing reputation as one of the world’s most up-to-date, scenic and safest race circuits.

A blend of slow and fast turns with sweeping curves, long straights and off-camber corners make Mugello one of the most challenging circuits for the riders and engineers. Having hosted its first MotoGP event back in 1976 the venue became a permanent fixture in 1991 after extensive refurbishment. Set within a beautiful tree lined Tuscan valley, Mugello also offers ample viewing areas for a particularly boisterous and partisan Italian crowd.source by motogp.com

Introduction:
Built in 1986 and hosting its first Grand Prix one year later, the circuit of Jerez is now one of the most popular MotoGP venues and the focal point for a city fanatical about sport. Set in a slight valley in the south of Spain, Jerez is blessed with consistently good weather and beautiful scenery, its numerous grandstands providing the perfect viewing facilities for up to 250,000 spectators.

With two alternative road circuits (4,423m and 4,428m), which were resurfaced during 2005, Jerez is a popular venue used by many race teams for testing throughout the year, whilst its recently updated corporate and media facilities have proven to be a popular addition to the complex. Other facilities such as the control tower and pit boxes have also been vastly improved.

Spies on “comfortable win” at Assen

Ben spies started second on the grid, after narrowly missing the pole position by 0.009s behind Marco Simoncelli, launching his Yamaha ahead of Jorge Lorenzo’s just in time to avoid a clash between the two. He steadily pulled away from Casey Stoner, who finished on his Repsol Honda in second.
“It was strange because it was one of the most comfortable races I’ve had, and it resulted in a win. I had a good feeling with the bike at the start of the race so I pushed to make a gap,” said Spies. “Even after I was 3 or 4 seconds ahead of Casey, when he pushed to try to catch me, I still had some reserve I could use, so I could speed up if I needed to.”
“It felt good to do it here this weekend, in the Yamaha 50th colors with all the greats watching, I guess it added a little bit of pressure now that I think about it,” he added.
“At least I don’t have to hear ‘are you ever going to win a race?’ There is always that question, now I can keep developing the bike for next year .source :motogp.com

Tiem Ducati Valentino rossi&nickyhaiden

Valentino Rossi (Ducati MotoGP Team) 4th: “We’re pretty satisfied with this result because compared to practice; we made a big improvement in the race. It would have been nice had we found the right direction more quickly, but this is a new bike that we’re still learning to work with, so obviously it takes some experience to get it right. In the end, we managed to find a setup that allowed me to ride pretty well but, not having tried it before, I approached the first laps very carefully. To be honest, we were also a little unlucky, because the rain during the warm-up prevented us from trying the changes. Anyway, the weekend was positive overall, because we got confirmation that this bike is better in many ways, especially with regard to the rear end, which is now much more stable. On the other hand, we also know that we must keep working because we still have a gap to the competition to make up. It’s not as big as the time we lost today in terms of seconds, but it’s still there. Still, we’re all trying really hard, and we must continue to do so.”

Nicky Hayden (Ducati MotoGP Team) 5th: “Conditions have been all over the place all weekend, and the race wasn’t any different. We went out with a rain setup, but we saw that it was drying quickly and changed to a complete dry setup on the grid. There were a couple of little wet patches early on, but it was okay. We made a small change for the race, but nothing big. The first lap or two, the tyres heated up and I felt really good. Then I made a couple of early mistakes. I touched a white line and also pushed the front once and had to go straight at the chicane. Colin passed me, and then I managed to drag him back. I can’t celebrate fifth place too much, but it’s my best dry result of the year and puts us fifth in the points. Congratulations to Ben, who’s a fellow American. I wish it was me, but he and his team deserve it.”

Lorenzo was furious, after an accident at Asen Racing

"You do not need to see the impressions he repeated. I saw it live, while on the bike. And he did not intentionally make me fall, but apparently he did not think much," Lorenzo spoke as quoted by Autosport.
"I think he has learned from the controversy he created in the past, but obviously not the case," again.

Simoncelli driving style before this, had been criticized because it is considered too aggressive. Moreover he had been involved similar incidents, which makes Honda's Dani Pedrosa from injury.

"He is still haphazard as ever, and luckily I was not hurt, I'm fine, and could earn a few points. But to be honest if he did not change his attitude, in the future he will make another driver injured."

"If I was in the security committee (the drivers), I will revoke the license for a few races, but I'm just a racer and I do not have the power to make that decision," Lorenzo said.

Is Simonceli Really accidentally fell, Or Just Accidents

Jorge Lorenzo vented his anger at Marco Simoncelli following the Iveco TT Assen on Saturday, in which the Italian rider collected the reigning World Champion in an opening-lap crash. The pair were both able to remount their bikes, Lorenzo finishing sixth and Simoncelli ninth, but the Yamaha Factory Racing rider’s frustration was evident after the race.
“You saw what happened on the first lap on the TV. Of course he doesn’t want to take me out, that’s not his intention, but I think the problem is that he’s not very conscious about the risks there are in the category, with this bike and these tyres,” said Lorenzo, who was felled by Simoncelli when the San Carlo Honda Gresini rider attempted an overtake but crashed due to a cold rear tyre.
“I thought he learned from the past, from the controversy he created, like what happened with Dani (Pedrosa), but it’s clear that he doesn’t learn at the moment. Simoncelli’s version of events saw the Italian lay the blame on a cold rear Bridgestone tyre, and he said: “I tried to overtake Lorenzo in the second turn and I didn’t feel that I took too high a risk, but I lost the rear because of the cold tyre – without throttle – in the middle of the corner and I crashed. I took Lorenzo in the crash and I’m sorry for him.”
Simoncelli started from pole position and had impressed throughout the practice sessions. The fans are fantastic and a lot of Italian fans.    source motogp.com

Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car 2011

Ford's new challenger for the 2011 FIA World Rally Championship, the all-new Fiesta RS World Rally Car, made its first global public appearance at the Paris Motor Show today.

The Fiesta RS WRC will make its competition debut in Rally Sweden, the opening round of the 2011 FIA World Rally Championship, on 10 - 13 February. The Fiesta RS WRC competition

car will form part of a new era for the world championship.  The Fiesta rally car will boast four-wheel drive transmission and a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, based on the all-new Ford EcoBoost engine family, to comply with new regulations.
The new Ford EcoBoost engine family features direct petrol injection and turbocharging to maximise performance and efficiency.  "The introduction of Ford's latest engine technology to its rally programme reinforces further our commitment to motorsport.  It also demonstrates our continued support for affordable competition by using an off-the-shelf production engine on which to base our WRC power plant," said Mike Norton, Ford of Europe's Motorsport Manager.

Specialist engineers from Ford and M-Sport have co-operated closely in the development of this 1.6-litre engine, with highly-respected French tuner “Pipo Moteur” bringing additional expertise to the power plant.
The Fiesta RS WRC appearance at the Paris Motor Show precedes the car's first major test programme with the full 2011 engine specification on gravel roads in Spain next week.  The car has already completed almost 3000 kilometres of testing in Britain and France, powered initially by the current WRC engine and more recently by a prototype 1.6-litre Ford EcoBoost turbo unit.
The test will provide the first opportunity for BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen and team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila to drive the new Fiesta RS WRC.

The Fiesta RS WRC will replace the record-breaking Focus RS WRC as Ford's championship challenger.  The Focus RS WRC won back-to-back manufacturers' world titles in 2006 and 2007, and its victory in New Zealand in May was the Blue Oval's 75th at WRC level, making Ford the most successful manufacturer in world championship history.
Ford has sold more than one million of the hugely-successful, latest generation Fiesta road cars around the world since it went on sale in October 2008.  Fiesta, Ford's truly global car, is the No 2 best-selling car across Europe.
"We've worked hard to ensure the car is undoubtedly related to the best-selling Fiesta road car which itself is a global success story

Novikov, WRC

Novikov, who started competing as a 15-year-old, forged a reputation as being blisteringly fast but frequently prone to error during his maiden season of World Rally Car competition in 2009.

Despite his tender age - he was 18 at the time - and lack of experience, Novikov nevertheless impressed during an eight-round campaign in a Citroen Junior Team C4 WRC, scoring a career-best fifth place in Sardinia.

Novikov began his competition career in karting aged 10 and his programme took him to France and
Germany. At the same time his father had developed an interest in rallying and started taking lessons from Russian champion Alexei Vosiliev, which had a huge impact on Evgeny’s eventual career choice.

But Novikov Jr’s real passion remained behind the wheel and when he was old enough - 15 - he entered the Russian Rally Cup series in a Mitsubishi Lancer. He was running second until his father pulled over to let him win his first event. The title followed even though he had to rely on his navigator to drive on road sections because he was under the legal driving age in Russia.
